1.1 Introduction

Congratulations on your choice of a Wallenstein WP525
firewood processor!
This high-quality machine is designed and manufactured to
meet the needs of a proficient timber or woodlot operation.
The Wallenstein WP525 firewood processor includes a hydraulic
power source, winch, and splitter. It is powered by a Vanguard©
engine.
The hydraulic winch is mounted on top of the machine to pull
logs up the entry chute and position them for cutting. After the
operator cuts the log with a chain saw, the cut log falls into the
splitter. The operator then activates the splitter to split the cut log
into firewood and push it up the exit chute.
The Wallenstein WP525 firewood processor improves efficiency
and minimizes handling, while reducing the risk of physical
strain.
Safe, efficient, and trouble-free operation of this Wallenstein
Equipment product requires that anyone using or maintaining
the machine reads and understands the safety, operation,
and maintenance information in this manual and the engine
manufacturer's manual.
Keep this manual handy for frequent reference and to pass on to
new operators or owners. Call your local Wallenstein dealer or
the distributor if you need assistance, information, or additional
copies of the manuals.
