4.2 Headers and Connectors

Fan Headers
There are six 4-pin fan headers (FAN1 ~ FAN4, FANA1 and FANB1) on the motherboard. All
these 4-pin fan headers are backwards compatible with the traditional 3-pin fans. However,
fan speed control is available for 4-pin fans only by Thermal Management via the IPMI 2.0
interface. Refer to the table below for pin definitions.
SGPIO Headers
There is one Serial Link General Purpose Input/Output (I-SGPIO1) header located on the
motherboard. I-SGPIO is for SATA use. Refer to the tables below for pin definitions.

Disk-On-Module Power Connector
One power connector for SATA DOM (Disk-On-Module) devices is located at JSD1. Connect
appropriate cables here to provide power support for your Serial Link DOM devices.
