D5. THE THREAD TENSION ADJUSTMENT

The tension of the upper and the lower thread must be interrelated so that the stitch forms inside
the sewn material.
1. To adjust the upper thread tension according to the lower thread tension. Turn the tension
adjusting nut in clockwise to increase the tension, or inversely, to decrease it.
2. To adjust the lower thread tension by turning adjusting screw A.
3. It can adjust the take up spring to adjust upper thread tension for special sewn material and
thread.
Increase of the needle thread tension (or reduce the hook thread tension)
Reduce the needle thread tension (or increase the hook thread tension)
