The zoom and focus functions of this unit are each operated manually by a pair of com-
pound knobs located on the sides of the barrel. The first knob (shown below) controls the
zoom function, while the second knob controls the focus, and each two-piece knob is labeled
accordingly.
Each compound knob consists of an outer dial and an inner rotary switch. The dial is used to
adjust the zoom or focus, while the rotary switch is used to lock or unlock the adjustment
dial. Please note that the dial cannot be adjusted when the rotary switch is in the locked posi-
tion. Each large dial has a slip brake to prevent slipping during normal usage. The rotary lock
switch can be engaged to ensure against inadvertant operation, but its usage is not strictly
required.

It should also be noted that the Zoom dial includes markers to aid in the easy selection of
commonly used beam angles. To do so, simply set the dial to one of the following beam angles:
6° - 10° - 14° - 19° - 26° - 36° - 50°
