■ TRACTION CONTROL
SYSTEM
This system automatically limits
wheel spin under slippery road
conditions.
The system comes on automatical-
ly when you start the engine.
When the system senses that any
of the wheels are spinning or
beginning to lose traction, it selec-
tively applies the brakes and/or
reduces engine power to limit
wheel spin.
You may feel or hear the system
working, but this is normal.
Under certain conditions, the
system may operate on dry roads.
When this occurs, a temporary
reduction in acceleration power is
normal.
When the system is limiting wheel
spin, the Traction Control System
Light flashes.
Turning the traction control
system off on some surfaces, such
as deep snow and loose gravel, will
assist vehicle motion at lower
speeds.
Section 1
Press and hold the traction control
button for 5 seconds to turn the
system off.
The button is located on the
instrument panel above the sound

When the system is turned off, the
traction control system warning
light will turn on and STAB SYS
OFF (stability system off) will
appear in the Driver Information
Centre display.
