2.1 Structure of safety instructions

The safety and warning notices used in this documentation are based on the standards DIN ISO 3864-2
(signal words), ISO 3864-1 (safety colours), DIN EN 82079-1 and ANSI Z 535.4 (design).
Signal word Meaning
DANGER Indicates a hazardous situation where non-compliance will lead to fatal or serious
injury.
WARNING Indicates a hazardous situation where non-compliance can lead to fatal or serious
injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a hazardous situation where non-compliance can lead to minor injury and
property damage.
NOTE Indicates tips for easier operation and cross-references. It eliminates the risk of
property damage or injury.
