How do I maintain my spectrometer?
To keep your spectrometer in good working order, make sure proper desiccant is installed
and check the desiccant indicator frequently. Replace the desiccant as soon as it
becomes saturated. (For information about the humidity indicator, see item 2 in the "What
are the features?" section in the ""Nicolet iS50 SpectrometerGetting Started"" chapter of
this document.
If you purchased a purge kit for your spectrometer, make sure the kit is installed and
check the purge settings frequently. For more information, review "Installing a Purge Kit"
and "Checking the Purge" in the spectrometer Help. If you store the spectrometer without
purge, make sure proper desiccant is installed and check the desiccant indicator
frequently. Replace the desiccant as soon as it becomes saturated.
