Connection by qualified personnel
The SIMATIC Ident CB Gate may only be connected by qualified personnel, taking into
account the documentation belonging to it.
Note
Installation, connection and commissioning by Siemens Service
Installation, connection and commissioning of the SIMATIC Ident CB Gate can be performed
by the Siemens Service team.
Note that the CB Gate has two or four antennas depending on the system variant.
5.1

Connecting the system components

The SIMATIC Ident CB Gate is delivered in a partially connected state. This applies in particular
to the control cabinet, in which all components are already connected.
The following components must be connected:
• Connect RF650A antennas to the RF680R reader using the antenna connection cable.
Note that the number of antennas depends on the system variant of the SIMATIC Ident CB
Gate.
• Connect the SITOP PSU6200 power supply unit to an external power supply.
• If necessary, connect the CB Gate to a higher-level system (e.g. a controller or a PC) with
an Ethernet cable via the SCALANCE XB005 switch.
