Replacing slide bearing plates
1. Open the crimping tool fully.
2. Deactivate the machine on the main switch and secure it against
unintentional restart.
3. Loosen the hexagon socket head screws (1) on the clamping
ring (2).
4. Remove clamping ring (2).
5. Pull out old slide bearing plate (3).
6. Insert the new slide bearing plate (3).
Replace all eight slide bearing plates in this manner.
7. Mount clamping ring (2).
8. Tighten the hexagon socket head screws (1).
Shims, if present, have to be inserted at the same position as be-
fore.
Check the machine zero point after each bearing plate replace-
ment and readjust the micrometre if necessary.
