Ensure proper orientation of the mem-
brane fittings is maintained.

Slip the membrane and housing assembly
through the large hole on the shelf on the left
side of the ULTROpure. This should be done
from underneath. Push the membrane and
housing back and rest on the shelf. The end of
the membrane with two connections must be on
the top and the single connection must be on
the bottom.

Turn the housing so that the large elbow is in
front, pointing toward the center of the unit. The
bottom connector should also be pointing to the
center of the unit.

Locate the hold down clamp (included in the
plumbing hardware package) and separate the
clamp by removing the nut and the bolt.

While holding the membrane in place with one
hand, take one end of the hold down clamp and
place it into the slot located midway up the
membrane on the back wall. Repeat this with
the other end of the clamp directly on the oppo-
site side.
G.
Secure the hold down clamp in place by replac-
ing the bolt. Place one of the two supplied
washers between the bolt head and the
clamp, and the other between the nut and
the clamp.
H.
Tighten the clamp around the membrane snugly.

Remove the nut, grab ring, back up ring and o-
ring from the two fittings on the top and the one
on the bottom of the membrane. Leave the
adapters installed. (See Figure C, page 12, for
part identification.)
