AFETY NFORMATION Sanitizing/cleaning agents must be used in com- pliance with instructions in this manual. Failure to comply with the above could result in explo- sion and personal injury. Avoid splashing disinfectant solution on clothing or skin. Ensure all piping connections are tight to avoid leakage of chemicals.
Introduction It is your responsibility to read and understand the contents of this manual prior to installation and use of this equip- Warning ment. This device is to be used only with water feeds and specified pretreatment This manual contains the information you will need to chemicals determined by a H20 Select install, operate and maintain the ULTROpure Reverse water analysis.
Installation Precautions Before Installation It is the userʼs responsibility to assure that an adequate water analysis has been performed to determine feedwa- ter composition and pretreatment requirements before operation of the ULTROpure. This is a condition of your One Year Limited Warranty (see back cover). Operation of the ULTROpure without prior determination of the feedwater composition can destroy reverse osmosis membranes.
NSTALLATION Unpacking Unpack the ULTROpure carefully and inspect for shipping damage. Remove the tubing, power cord and the angle iron wall bracket. Remove the outer carton. (This carton surrounds the unit.) With two people, remove the ULTROpure by lifting. Have a third person remove the Styrofoam packing from the top and bottom of the unit.
NSTALLATION Note If you are installing additional System Location equipment with the ULTROpure, such as a Barnstead NANOpure, refer to the individual ownerʼs manual for The ULTROpure should be mounted at a height that space requirements before installing allows for convenient operation, viewing of the controls the ULTROpure System.

NSTALLATION Tubing Adapter Installation Making plumbing connections to the ULTROpure (see “Utility Connections”) requires the use of tubing adapters. Use the following procedure to assemble and connect the tubing adapters. Completely disassemble the fitting. Refer to Figure C below to familiarize yourself with the names of the component parts.
NSTALLATION Utility Connections 6 feet of 1/2" OD tubing is supplied along with a 1/2" OD x 3/8" NPTM adapter. Wrap Teflon ® tape 1 1/2 to 2 times around this fitting and install in your incoming feedwater line.
