PROBLEM
6. Starting is difficult or the
engine runs erratically

engage or do not stop promptly
when they are disengaged
11. Uneven mowing and
insufficient collection (for rear
collection models only)
12. Uneven mowing (only for
models with side discharge)
13. Unusual vibrations while working
14. Uncertain or ineffective braking
15. Erratic forward movement, poor
drive when going uphill or if the
machine has a tendency to rear up
16. When the engine is running,
the machine remains stationary
when the drive pedal is pressed
(models with hydrostatic drive)
PROBABLE CAUSE
carburation problems
forward speed too high in
relation to cutting height
Safety devices intervention
blown fuse due to short circuit
or anomaly in the electrical
system (only for models
with side discharge)
The safety device of the electronic
circuit board has cut in due to:
battery terminals inverted
anomalies in the operation
of the battery charger
short circuit
problems with the coupling system
cutting means assembly is
not parallel to the ground
inefficient cutting means
forward speed too high
compared to height of grass
collector chute is blocked
cutting means assembly is
not parallel to the ground
inefficient cutting means
cutting means assembly
is full of grass
the cutting means are
unbalanced or loose
loose bolts and screws
the brake is not adjusted correctly
problems with the belt or
the engagement device
release lever in the gear
disengagement position

SOLUTION
clean or replace the air filter
empty the fuel tank and
refill with fresh fuel
check and replace the fuel
filter if necessary
Reduce advancing speed and/
or increase the cutting height.
check that all starting
conditions are met (par. 5.2)
Identify and eliminate the cause
or causes of the fault in order to
prevent subsequent interruptions
Replace the fuse (10 A).
If interruptions persist
contact your dealer
Put the key in the 'STOP' position,
wait a few seconds for the circuit
to automatically reset and:
check the connections (par. 3.4)
check the connections of
the battery (par. 3.4)
check the presence of the battery

check the tyre pressure (par. 5.1)
reinstate the alignment of the
cutting means assembly in
relation to the ground.
