Selector Mechanism, Removing And Installing - Audi Q5 2008 Repair Manual

– Carefully press the cylinder in direction of -arrow- on the Shift
Lock Solenoid - N110- with, for example, a screwdriver
through the center opening in the ashtray housing, and at the
same time, shift the selector lever out of "P" with the button on
the selector lever pressed.
Note
This unlocks the locking lever -1- when the selector lever is in

"P".
If the cylinder -arrow- on the Shift Lock Solenoid - N110- is
♦
covered by insulation or a wire, then move the insulation or the
wire to the side.

♦ Pry Lever - 80-200-
♦ Engine and Gearbox Jack - VAS6931-
♦ Engine/Gearbox Jack - Gearbox Support - T10337-
Removing
– Remove the selector lever handle. Refer to
⇒ "1.8 Selector Lever Handle, Removing and Installing", page
34 .
– Remove the front ashtray. Refer to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep. Gr.
68 ; Center Console; Front Ashtray, Removing and Installing .
– Remove the insulation mat -1-, disconnect connectors
