Installation - Butt weld spigots:

Vapor fumes from PFA welding can

Weld PFA components in a well-

ventilated area.
Only use approved welding equipment.

Wear protective gear.

Breathing masks are recommended.

Welding may only be carried out by

qualifi ed trained personnel.
Important:
Poor or careless welding
procedures and processes will void
warranty and cause damage to the
product. The results of poor welding
procedures are valve leakage and
deformation.
Adhere to good welding practices!
Installation - Flare and space saver
connections:
1. Also refer to GEMÜ FlareStar
and GEMÜ fl are and assembly
instructions for preparation and
connection of fl are connections!
2. Push the fl ared tube onto the fl are
connection.
3. Screw on union nut.
4. Use connection fi ttings resistant to and
suitable for the ambient conditions.
Installation - PrimeLock connections:
1. Preparation of the tube by mounting
the sleeve (observe manufacturer's
instructions:

2. Push together PrimeLock connection
with prepared tube.
3. Tighten PrimeLock union nut.
Observe appropriate regulations for
connections!

After the installation:
Reactivate all safety and protective

devices.
Check the function and tightness of

installed valves at regular intervals.

11.3 Control functions

The following control functions are available:
Control function 1
Normally closed (NC):
Valve resting position: closed by
spring force. Activation of the actuator
(connector 2) opens the valve. When the

actuator is vented, the valve is closed by
spring force.
Control function 2
Normally open (NO):
Valve resting position: opened by
spring force. Activation of the actuator
(connector 4) closes the valve. When the
actuator is vented, the valve is opened by
spring force.
Control function 3
Double acting (DA):
Valve resting position: undefined. The
valve is opened and closed by activating
the respective control medium connectors
(connector 2: open / connector 4: close).
