6.3.1.1 Using an auxiliary battery
The DIGITRADIO 231 OD can be operated with auxiliary batteries (18 V) from well-known
manufacturers (BOSCH, DeWALT, MAKITA). To do this, the appropriate adapter must first
be installed in the DIGITRADIO 231 OD. A list of compatible batteries can be found in the
chapter Technical Data.
> Open the battery compartment cover (17) on the centre rear of the device by
pressing the locking tabs downwards. The battery compartment lid can then be
flipped down and removed.
> Plug the auxiliary battery onto the adapter plate (1) that corresponds to your
battery manufacturer. Observe the safety instructions provided by the battery
manufacturer.
