6.3 Preparing the DIGITRADIO 231 OD for operation
6.3.1 Connecting to the mains and charging the battery
When used for the first time, the DIGITRADIO 231 OD rechargeable battery must be fully
charged. Observe the safety instructions for charging lithium-ion batteries.
WARNING!
Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands; electric shock hazard!
CAUTION!
Route the mains cable in such a way that nobody can trip over it.
> Plug the power supply unit into a wall outlet. Then insert the DC plug of the
power supply unit into the DC socket on the radio.
> The DIGITRADIO 231 OD starts and runs an initial scan for stations in your area via
DAB+. Ensure that the antenna is correctly aligned as per Section 6.3.2.
> Once the station search has successfully completed, the first DAB station on the
station list is played. The charging status is shown in the upper right corner of
the display
