FRU Removal and Replacement
CD-ROM Drive or DDS Tape Drive
Before removing the CD-ROM drive or DDS Tape
drive, perform the following procedures:
Remove the Main Tray Assembly.
•
Remove the Storage Tray Assembly.
•
Remove the Storage Tray Cover.
•
Refer to Chapter 3 for supported storage tray
configurations.
Perform the following steps to remove a CD-ROM
drive or DDS tape drive:
1 Push in the locking tabs on each side of the disk tray and
slide the device out approximately two inches, as shown
in Figure 33.
