REAR WHEEL REMOVAL

 WARNING
A hot muffler can burn you. The
muffler will be hot enough to
burn you for some time after
stopping the engine.
Wait until the muffler cools to
avoid burns.
1. Place the motorcycle on the
side stand.
2. Remove the axle nut 1.
3. Place an accessory service
stand or an equivalent stand
under the swing arm to lift the
rear wheel slightly off the
ground.
4. Loosen the right and left lock
nut 2. Turn the right and left
chain adjuster bolts 3 clock-
wise.
5. Draw out the axle shaft.
6. With the wheel moved forward,
remove the chain from the
sprocket.
