c) Connection

The connection is only permitted when voltage-free/powered down.
Only 12 - 24 V power supplies may be used. Never attempt to operate the code
lock with other voltages.
The inputs and outputs of the code lock and of the connected cables must be
protected against accidental touching.
The cables must have adequate insulation and the contact points must be
protected against accidental touching .
Be sure to use the correct polarity (+)/(-) when connecting DC voltages. This
is not relevant in the case of AC voltages.
Failure to follow these instructions voids the warranty.
Note that incorrectly connecting cables could destroy the device.
You can now connect the cables for the LEDs on the control unit.
You can use the red LED (1) to indicate an armed central alarm system and the green
LED (3) to indicate your closed entrance door, for instance.
Make sure that all DC voltages are connected with the correct polarity.
Always observe the correct polarity for direct voltage. If required, check with a meter.
The dropping resistances for the red and green LEDs are designed for an operating
voltage of 12 V/DC.
The connector strip allows you to connect other optional devices (magnetic contact,
door opener etc.).
When making connections to the device, ensure that the voltage and current
specifications listed in the following table are not exceeded.
