11. Maintenance

Regularly check the technical safety of the code lock and the connected power supply,
e.g. for damage to the connection cables and the case.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible then the code lock or
power supply must be taken out of operation and secured against accidental reactiva-
tion. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• the code lock or the connection cable show visible signs of damage
• the code lock or the connected power supply no longer function
• the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a longer period of time
• the device has been subjected to unsuitable transport conditions
Be absolutely sure to observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or
maintaining the code lock or a connected power supply.
Live components may be exposed if coverings are opened or components are
removed. The device must be disconnected from all power sources before do-
ing any servicing or repair work. Capacitors in the device may still be charged
even after it has been disconnected from all power sources.
Never replace damaged power supply cables yourself. In such cases you
should disconnect the power supply and bring it to a professional workshop.
Repair work may always be carried out by specialists familiar with the haz-
ards involved and with the relevant regulations.

12. Disposal

Old electronic devices are hazardous waste and should not be disposed of
in household waste. When the device has become unusable, dispose of it in
accordance with the current statutory regulations at the communal collection
points. Disposal in the household waste is prohibited.
