The following illustrations provide examples of the most common methods of connect-
ing your code lock.
We recommend that you draw a similar connection sketch containing your own com-
ponents. The large number of connection possibilities makes it impossible to show all
possible variations in this manual.
The diode (1N4004) included with the device is to be used for suppressing the induc-
tive interference voltages that occur in DC-based systems when the door opener is
switched. Connect this in parallel to the door opener, as shown in the illustration. Warn-
ing! The cathode (shown as a ring) of the diode must be connected to the plus terminal
of the door opener.
The diode is not required for AC-based installations.
