- What Is the SUB/SEP Code?

The SUB code or SEP code has a simi-
lar function to a password. It is a com-
bination of numbers (0 to 9), symbols
("q" and "p") and spaces. You can
use up to 20 characters when register-
ing a SUB/SEP code.
SUB/SEP codes are used when mak-
ing Box settings so that the users of
Boxes may send messages to a Box or
retrieve one from a Box by specifying
the SUB/SEP code for the Box.
Personal Boxes
This feature lets you set up the ma-
chine so that incoming messages ad-
dressed to certain users are stored in
memory instead of being printed out
immediately. Each user must be as-
signed a SUB code (user code) that
has been designated as a Personal Box
beforehand. When the other party
sends their message, they specify the
SUB code of the user they are sending
to. When the message is received, it is
stored in the Personal Box with the
matching SUB code. In order to print
a message received into a Personal
Box, you must enter the SUB code as-
