Water hardness

Determining water hardness
In order to determine the water hardness, you
can check on the
– website of your water provider.
– telephone your water supplier.
– purchase the relevant test strip at a phar-
macy.

1. Determine the relevant setting from the
table above.
2. Close the dishwasher door.

3. If the dishwasher is switched on, switch it
off with the button
(18).
Setting the water hardness
Do not allow more than 1 minute to elapse
between the following steps, otherwise the
setting process will be interrupted.
1. Switch on the dishwasher using the
button (18).

2. Press and hold the button
(5) and
(2) displays flash alternately.
3. Press the button
(11) as often as
required until the desired setting is dis-
played.
4. Around 5 seconds after you push it for the
last time, the dishwasher will automatical-
ly revert to the normal display.
The hardness level setting is saved.

Test run

It is recommended that you carry out a test
run before the first dishwasher cycle in order
to remove residues from the manufacturing
process and in order to ensure that the device
functions perfectly.
If no water escapes during the test run and if
there are no unusual noises, the appliance is
ready to use.
