Installing the microscope body

Loosen the body clamping knob a and insert the microscope body
b gently into the mounting hole of the standard stand.
The body clamping knob a can be attached to any of the
TIP
accessory mounting screw holes c around the mounting
hole. It may be necessary to change the knob position when
a module such as an illumination system is mounted.

Position the microscope body so that it faces frontward and tighten
the body clamping knob a .
If it is required to position the zoom adjustment knob near the
TIP
focus adjustment knob e , position the microscope body in
the opposite orientation.

Mounting the objective

Attach the objective b to the objective mount thread a by turning
the objective in the direction of the arrow.
The SZ2-ET auxiliary sleeve is required when the 0.5X
TIP
objective is used.

Mounting the observation tube

Using the Allen screwdriver, fully loosen the observation tube clamping
screw a .

Aligning the positioning groove b of the observation tube with the
positioning pin c of the microscope body, fit the dovetail d at the
bottom of the observation tube into the dovetail mount e of the
microscope body.

Tighten the observation tube clamping screw a firmly using the
Allen screwdriver.
If you always perform observation from the side of the focus
TIP
adjustment knobs, the microscope body can be installed in
the opposite orientation to that shown in the figure (at the
180° rotated position).
