DVIP
DVIP is a Datavideo proprietary communication protocol that allows the ShowCast-100 to remotely
connect and control multiple Datavideo PTZ cameras such as PTR-10 MARK II, PTC-150/150T, etc.
To use this feature, you will have to first configure DVIP settings of the ShowCast-100 and the
connected cameras using the DVIP Configuration Tool which can be downloaded from the official
product pages to the PC. The DVIP Configuration Tool allows you to access and modify the device's
DVIP settings from your PC. Depending on your network environment, you can either connect directly
to the DVIP port using a fixed IP or via a router (DHCP).
In this chapter we will show you various features that the tool offers.

4.1 Setup

When new from the factory, the DVIP port is DHCP by default so connect the ShowCast-100's DVIP
port to the router via an Ethernet cable and connect the laptop to the same router as depicted in the
diagram below.

To access the ShowCast-100's DVIP settings, you will need to first download the DVIP
Configuration Tool to the PC from the official product page then install it on the PC. Open
the tool by double clicking the icon shown on the right.
In the next section, various features of the tool will be described.

4.2 Features

The DVIP Configuration Tool interface is shown below. You should see the number of DVIP devices
connected as well as the name and MAC address of these devices as shown in the diagram below.
Click any device to access and modify the network settings.
