The SPARC 64
has the following features:
Design adopting chip multithreading (CMT), in which a CPU sequentially
performs multiple processes
CPU consisting of two-core or four-core processors
SPARC instruction set architecture (ISA)
Visual instruction set (VIS) extended instructions that accelerate processing of
multimedia, networking, encryption, and Java

XSCF Unit

The service processor set that operates and manages the server is mounted in the
XSCF unit.
The XSCF unit diagnoses and starts the entire system, configures domains, and
detects and reports errors.
