The Sun SPARC Enterprise M3000 Server Service Manual describes how to service the
Sun SPARC Enterprise M3000 server. References herein to the SPARC Enterprise
M3000 server and the M3000 server are references to the Sun SPARC Enterprise
M3000 server.
This document is written for maintenance providers who have received formal
service training or customers who have received training under a self-maintenance
contract. A single engineer service model is used for servicing the SPARC Enterprise
M3000 server with one exception. When the motherboard of a Sun SPARC Enterprise
M3000 server must be removed and that server is mounted above waist high in the
cabinet, two engineers or a platform must be used for safety.
