10.1 Maintenance of winch
Never operate the winch with a damaged load hook or wire. The
winch must be checked regularly by trained personnel. Clean the
winch after every operation; this will extend the life of the winch.
Warning
Never grease braking system.
Gears, bearing bushes and drive shaft must always be greased.
Keep winch in good condition. Unmaintained machine parts can
lead to malfunction or even accidents. Use only original
replacement parts from the manufacturer.
Winches are supplied without wire. The operator must check that
the wire is wound correctly when commissioning the crane.
Check functional capability of winch before every operation.
If there is any doubt that the winch functions correctly, do not use
winch.
