ADVANCED OPERATION
Emergency Call function
The transceiver may enter the Emergency mode through the following functions, depending on the Controller
setting�

DMan Down function

When the transceiver is tilted past the preset angle for
the ON Timer preset time, the transceiver enters the
Emergency mode�
L If you raise the transceiver back from the preset angle
towards the vertical position before the Reminder Timer
preset time expires, the Emergency mode is canceled.
Enters the
Emergency mode�
ON Timer
Reminder Timer
Past the preset degrees
NOTE: The Man Down function may not properly work, depending on the surrounding environment such as
the battery capacity, the signal strength, or the access point or network status. Icom is not responsible for the
destruction or damage caused by using the Man Down function�
Sends an
Emergency call�
Emergency Timer
Preset angle
Time
If raised back from the preset
angle during the Reminder
Timer, the Emergency mode is
canceled�
Man Down with Stationary
The transceiver enters the Emergency mode when:
• The transceiver leans past the preset angle for the
ON Timer preset time�
AND
• The transceiver is detected as stationary (no
motion) for the ON Timer preset time�
L If you raise the transceiver back from the preset angle
towards the vertical position, or move the transceiver
before the Reminder Timer preset time expires, the
Emergency mode is canceled�
Example
Preset angle: 45 degrees
Enters the
Emergency mode�
ON Timer
No motion is
detected�
Past 45 degrees
