Preset tare function
The preset tare function allows you to register a known tare by entering the value. A preset tare can be linked
to a program and retrieved when you call program data.
* The Measurement Act prohibits inputting a preset tare outside the indication range in which the minimum
scale interval can be used (up to 1500 g when the weighing capacity is 3000 g and up to 3000 g when
the weighing capacity is 6000 g).
* You cannot register only a preset tare as program data. You also need to register other setting values such
as the lower limit.
* You cannot use the Preset tare function together with the Counting function or the Subtractive weighing
function.
* You cannot use this function together with the Automatic tare function. If you set both functions, the system
enables the Preset tare function and disables the Automatic tare function.

[Example] To set the preset tare to 21 g
Enter '2' '1' with the numeric keypad, and press
indication is blinking.
The weight is shown as -21, and the PT sign comes on on the left side of
the screen.
You can make weight measurements subtracting 21 g as the preset tare.

* You need to make program settings such as the lower limit in advance.
[Example] To register the preset tare (21 g) in the program 2 when the Checkweighing function is used

* For the setting procedure of the lower limit, refer to Section 6-1.
The program number selection screen appears. Enter '2' with the
numeric keypad, and then press
limit, upper limit, and preset tare in the program 2.
* If the lower limit is not set, you cannot register the preset tare.
* You can also register a tare set in the One-touch tare using this
procedure. However, you cannot register a tare that exceeds one half
of the weighing capacity.

* If you press
while nothing is placed on the instrument during Preset tare, the system disables the
Preset tare.
To enable the Preset tare again after disabling it, perform the easy setup or call the program again.
