point

EB 2559 EN
Possible reasons
Operating bellows blocked by the
formation of ice
Pressure build-up vaporizer iced
up
Formation of ice on the pressure
build-up vaporizer caused by peak
consumption
Frozen process medium is blocking
the plug.
No medium consumption
(operational standstill). Incoming
heat and medium vaporization.
Safety function responds after the
tank has been filled.
Recommended action
Î Use a heat gun to melt ice.
DANGER
!
Depending on the process medium:
− Potentially explosive medium
− Potentially explosive atmosphere
Î Reduce consumption until most ice has melted.
Î Brush accumulation of ice off the regulator.
DANGER
!
Risk of burn injury from touching cold surfaces (see
the 'Safety instructions and measures' section).
Î Install a new regulator or isolate the regulator and
leave it warm up. Afterwards check whether the
frozen medium has sublimated (e.g. dry ice)
Î Ensure for continuous medium withdrawal
Î Close the shut-off valves (6.1 and 6.2) to isolate
the regulator and pressure build-up vaporizer. Let
down the tank pressure through medium with-
drawal or blow-off. After the pressure set point in
the tank is reached, reopen the shut-off valves.
