8.1 Troubleshooting

Malfunction

Insufficient pressure pulses on the
operating diaphragm
Foreign particles blocking the plug
Seat and plug are worn or leak.

The restriction in the control line for

Dirt in the control line
Increased friction, e.g. due to foreign
particles between seat and plug
Recommended action
Î Clean the control line, needle valve and screw
fittings.
Î Remove foreign particles.
Î Replace damaged parts.
Î Contact SAMSON's After-sales Service.
Î Replace the damaged seat and plug.
Î Contact SAMSON's After-sales Service.
Î Check the sizing.
Î Change K

coefficient, if necessary or

Î Check plant. If necessary, unlock safety device.
Î Reconnect control lines at a different place. Do
not tap pressure at pipe bends or necks.
