Control Other Devices with the Remote Controls

This section describes how to use Remote Control 1 or Remote Control 2 to
control with a TV, a VCR, or other devices. For information on how to use the
remote to control the receiver, see Using the Remote Controls on page 49. You
can set up both remote controls to control the satellite TV receiver and up three
other devices each. These devices can be a TV, a VCR or DVD player, and a
third device.
Where the word remote is used in the following section, it applies to both
Remote Control 1 and Remote Control 2.
Remote Control Modes
You can set the remote to four different modes to control the receiver or other
devices. When you get the remote it's already set up to control the receiver. You
must set up the remote to control a device like a TV or a VCR. See Set Up the
Remote to Control Other Devices.
