VRI Main Panel Set-Up

Test Tab

This tab is used to test the VRI system. Only Certified Lindsay Dealers are allowed to operate the Test Screen.
The following functions can be performed in the Test Tab:
Enable Pulse Mode
Selecting the "Enable Pulse Mode" check-box will pulse the VRI irrigation plan. If this box is not checked while
pulsing the valves; after 3 to 5 minutes of pulsing, the VRI Main Controller will return back to the VRI irrigation
plan.
NOTE: The Plan cannot be changed while Pulse Mode is enabled.
Force Valve Open 100%
Pressing this button will force all nodes to open the valves (100% application rate).
I/O Testing
The I/O test display allows the Technician to manually test the Inputs and Outputs of the VRI System.
WARNING: Pulsing the valves at a high rate can cause the pivot, and especially the overhang, to
shake violently and possibly damage the system. Starting with a Forced Period of ten seconds or
higher and rate of 50% can reduce this effect.
This initial test setting may need a higher Forced Period with a rate lower than 50% on smaller model/
designed pivots.
