V. USING THE APPLIANCE
INTENDED USE
The appliance is only intended to be used for baking of waffles, sandwiches and grilling
food. Any other use may lead to damage of the appliance or personal injury.
BEFORE INITIAL USE
•
Remove all packaging material from inside and outside of the appliance.
•
Please keep the packaging for storing your appliance when not in use for a longer
period of time.
•
Place the appliance on an even, stable, clean, dry, and heat-resistant surface.
•
Clean the appliance carefully and remove small packaging debris, which might still
remain in the appliance. Dry appliance thoroughly.
•
Connect the power plug. The appliances switches on automatically and the power
indicator lights (2 & 3) light together.
•
Operate the appliance without filling once or twice to burn off any manufacturing
residue. You may notice a small amount of smoke; this is normal and will stop as the
heating elements continue to heat. Repeat this step until all smoke and odour are
gone.
•
Clean the plates (6.7.8) with a slightly damp cloth. Dry appliance thoroughly.
INSERT PLATES
•
Push the release buttons (9) to remove the plates (6,7or 8) from the appliance.
•
Insert the plates (6, 7 or 8) with the notches pointing to the hinge.
•
Press the plates (6, 7 or 8) into the mount until they click in place.
