LARM
The rear panel of the UPS contains a standard DB9 port labeled ALARM. This port is an interface to the
Alarm Dry Contacts. The Alarm Dry Contact port is shown below.
The Alarm Dry Contacts can be used to notify a computer or another system when certain events take
place on the POWER + SA UPS system.
The dry contact circuits make use of opto-couplers.
No more than 30V and 100mA should be applied to a dry contact.
The Alarm Dry Contacts can report any of three conditions, as described in the following table.

State of Dry Contacts
There is a voltage between pin 3 and pin 4.
This circuit is normally open.
There is a voltage between pin 5 and pin 4.
This circuit is normally open.
There is a voltage between pin 7 and pin 8.
This circuit is normally open.
