General information regarding the installation of a safety-related
brake
Unintentional starting of the drive unit
Any work on the stationary machine must be performed with the machine isolated from the
supply and secured so that it cannot be switched back on again. This also applies to auxiliary
circuits, e.g. anti-condensation heating.
Check that the unit is in a no-voltage condition.
Deviations in the voltage, frequency, waveform and/or symmetry of the line supply increase
the temperature rise.
This also negatively impacts the electromagnetic compatibility.
Before starting work, make sure that a protective conductor is securely connected.
