Safety information

1.1 Definitions, warning information

Qualified persons
Only qualified persons are authorized to commission and operate this product in conjunction
with this documentation. Qualified persons as far as the safety instructions given in this
documentation are concerned are those who have the necessary authorization to
commission, ground and identify equipment, systems and circuits in accordance with the
relevant safety standards.
Safety Guidelines
This documentation contains instructions which must be followed closely in order to ensure
personal safety and to avoid damage to the equipment and machines. Personal safety
instructions are highlighted in the manual by a warning triangle, while damage instructions
are not, and are marked as follows according to the level of danger:
Danger
Danger means that death, grievous injury or extensive damage to property will occur if the
appropriate precautions are not taken.
Warning
Warning means that death, grievous injury or extensive damage to property may occur if the
appropriate precautions are not taken.
Caution
Caution with a warning triangle means that minor personal injury may occur if the
appropriate precautions are not taken.
Caution
Caution without a warning triangle means that damage to property may occur if the
appropriate precautions are not taken.
