EU RoHS Directive and UK Directive
SIMOGEAR geared motors comply with the stipulations laid down in Directive 2011/65/EU
and the UK directive "The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical
and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2012".
These operating instructions are included with the geared motor when delivered. Keep the
operating instructions close to the geared motor. Please read the operating instructions prior
to handling the geared motor and observe the information they contain. This is how you
ensure safe and disturbance-free operation.
These operating instructions are applicable for safety-related L brakes (Intorq BFK458), which
are mounted onto SIMOGEAR geared motors. L brakes mounted onto SIMOGEAR geared
motors are in compliance with the relevant standards listed in the Declaration of Conformity
for safety-related applications.
The BA 2332 Operating Instructions supplement the following operating instructions:
• BA 2030 SIMOGEAR gearboxes
The operating instructions apply to the standard version of SIMOGEAR gearboxes
• BA 2330 Motors LA/LE/LES for mounting on SIMOGEAR gearboxes
The operating instructions apply to the standard version of the motors for mounting on
the SIMOGEAR gearbox series
• BA 2331 Geared motor with DRIVE-CLiQ safety encoder for safety-related applications
• BA 2730 Geared motor with rotary encoder for safety-relevant applications
