When you come to a step that requires you to enter the fax/
telephone number, use the numeric buttons to enter the
number up to where dial tone detection is required.

Press D.T. for dial tone detection.
• A small dot indicates where the machine will wait for the dial
tone.

Continue entering the rest of the fax/telephone number
with the numeric buttons.
• If you enter the wrong number, press and hold
again from step 1.

Enabling Restriction of Your Machine

Follow this procedure to enable restriction of your machine:

Press Menu.

Use or to select SYSTEM SETTINGS.

Press OK three times.

Press OK twice.

Use the numeric buttons to enter a four-digit password.
• This password prevents unauthorised access to the LOCK
PHONE setting that enables or disables restriction of your
machine. If you do not want to enter a password, ignore this
step.
