5.6 Software development commands
The debugging software includes a set of commands primarily intended for software
development. These commands provide you with an interface to the Wire Train Bus
LLI services.
The software development commands include
caninit (d)
cansend (d)
reset (d)
ver
The following sections describe these commands in alphabetical order.
5.6.1 CANINIT (D)
SYNTAX
caninit ch8 baud32
ch8 = channel you want to initialize, possible values are: 1 (channel A) and 2 (channel
B)
baud32 = desired bit rate of the bus traffic, possible values 10000, 20000, 42000,
47000, 50000, 105000, 125000, 133000, 210000, 250000, 500000 and 1000000 bit/s
EXPLANATION
With this command the specific CAN channel can be initialized for testing purposes.
The command creates the initialization structure in the VME shared memory in the
exactly same way as the VMEbus master (CPG/CPS module) would do it.
EXAMPLE
To initialize channel B for CAN bus traffic at bit rate 250000 bit/s:
caninit 2 250000
