KN9008 / KN9016 User Manual
The Windows Client
Problem
Windows Client won't connect to
the KN9008 / KN9016.
Remote mouse pointer is out of
sync.
Part of remote window is off my
monitor.
The Java Client
For mouse synchronization problems, see Mouse Sync Mode, page 69. For
connection and operation problems, see the table below:
Problem
Java Client won't
connect to the
KN9008 / KN9016.
Pressing the
Windows Menu key
has no effect.
Java Client
performance
deteriorates.
National language
characters do not
appear.

DirectX 8.0 or higher must be installed on your
computer.
1. Use the AutoSync feature (see Video Settings,
page 81), to sync the local and remote monitors.
2. If that doesn't resolve the problem, use the
Adjust Mouse feature (see Adjust mouse,
page 79) to bring them back in sync.
3. If the two methods described above fail to
resolve the problem, use the Toggle Pointer Dis-
play function (see page 79).
Use the AutoSync feature (see Video Settings,
page 81) to synchronize the local and remote
monitors.
1. Java JRE 6 or higher must be installed on your computer.
2. Make sure to include the correct login string when you specify
the KN9008 / KN9016's IP address (see Login String,
page 60).
3. Close the Java Client, reopen it, and try again.
Java doesn't support the Windows Menu key.
Exit the program and start again.
When entering national language characters, if your local
keyboard is set to a non-English national language layout, you
must set the remote computer's keyboard layout to English.
