Chapter 4 Security Function
4.1

Outline

In the secure system, a security function not existing in the conventional
system is introduced. The following outlines the authentication function that
requires special attention.
Important
The prerequisite for the OIS / SVR / EWS / nV-Tool of the secure system to communicate
with the UCS is to be authenticated to the UCS. Unless authentication is successfully
completed, the device can't communicate with the UCS. Therefore, be sure to download
the user ID and password to the authentication server.
If the authentication client requests authentication with the correct user ID and password,
the authentication will be completed normally.
For details on authentication server / client settings, see "4.2 Authentication".
In addition, the authentication process adopts our proprietary method that does not
depend on external services.
Note
UCS supports only the functions required in the control system.
For example, even if UCS2 is added to the following conventional system,
since InSec_OIS and InSec_SVR do not have security functions such as
authentication, they can't communicate with UCS2.

Remark
The prefix of the abbreviation of the conventional component is described as "InSec _".
