Authentication

Authentication is performed between the authentication server and the
authentication clients.
The authentication server is UCS.
The authentication clients are OIS, SVR, EWS and nV-Tool.
The process of authentication is described below.

Setting of the authentication server
Set the authentication server so that it can communicate with authorized clients.
Important
To set up or change (DL) the authentication server, the authority of the administrator described
in this section is required.
Set up an appropriate person to the administrator who is responsible for setting up and
changing (DL) authentication server (security information).
This setting must comply with your security policy.
Set the authentication server in [Authentication management] window of nV-Tool.
The setting is possible for administrator or user with editing authority of nV-Tool.
Select a system at left bottom of the [Product Tree] and select <Authentication
management> of <Controller security> from the <File> menu.
