Timeout Feature

The scan timeout feature limits the amount of time that a scan can take until
the laser is turned off. This fixed timeout feature ensures that the operator
can return safely to the instrument after the timeout period (90 secs) has
expired. The Scan Completed Box, in the Scan Result screen, indicates that
the scan is complete or that the timeout period has expired.
Operators cannot configure this feature. The TruNarc timeout is fixed at
90 seconds.

Vial Holder

The TruNarc vial holder enables the operator to safely scan small amounts of
material in an uncapped vial.
To scan in vial mode:
• Remove the nose cone, then attach the vial holder.
• Place the analyzer on a flat surface.
• Put a small amount of material in the vial:
• Leave the vial uncapped to prevent a projectile hazard should
over-pressurization occur.
• Perform the scan.
