Do this
Press the nose cone into the bag.
Hold the bag in place with your
index finger.
Press bulky materials, such as pills or
crystals, firmly on the nose cone, so
that you are not scanning air.
You cannot scan trace residues,
such as a film of powder. The
sample must be at least the size
NOTE
of a grain of rice.
Remove the nose cone and hold the
laser aperture on the container
surface.
When you scan a syringe, make
sure that you are scanning liquid
TIP
and not a bubble of air.
You cannot scan through this type of
container because the laser sample
point will be positioned within the
container wall.
Remove a sample of the substance
and place it in a plastic bag, vial or a
thin-walled container for scanning.
You cannot scan through this type of
container because the laser cannot
penetrate it.
Place a sample of the substance in a
plastic bag for the scan.
