Interpreting the Scan Result
An Alarm result for heroin looks like this.
If you accidentally scan the plastic of the test stick instead of the metal wafer,
a warning result appears.
If you get this warning, reposition the test stick to center the stick on the
nose cone opening and repeat the scan.
You may obtain an Inconclusive result for a variety of reasons. For example,
the concentration of the narcotic may be below the limits of detection.
If you get an Inconclusive result, repeat the scan using a new test stick but
add more sample material to the existing vial instead of using a new one, to
increase the concentration of the material in the solution.
