MPEG playback using zoom video in 24
bit (true color) mode is not supported
with the DSTN display. For optimal
MPEG playback performance using
zoom video, use 256 or 16 bit (high
color) modes.
Caring for PC Cards
PC Cards are durable; however, you must treat
them with care. The documentation supplied
with your PC Card will provide specific infor-
mation but you should pay attention to the
following points:
To keep out dust and dirt, store PC Cards
in their protective sleeves when they are not
installed in your notebook.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
or excessive heat.
Keep the cards dry.

Do not flex or bend the cards, and do not
place heavy objects on top of them.
Do not force cards into the slot.
Avoid dropping cards, or subjecting them
to excessive vibration.
Installing PC Cards in Your Notebook
PC cards are install ed in the PC Ca rd slots in the
l eft side panel of your noteboo k . Some PC Ca rd s
wi ll not work wh en all po s s i ble devi ces are
en a bl ed . If a PC Ca rd is not recogn i zed , you wi ll
n eed to open the Con trol panel , the Sys tem fo l d-
er, and then the Devi ce Ma n a ger, and ch oose a
devi ce to disable so that the re s o u rces can be
u s ed by the PC Ca rd .
C A U T I O N
Do not insert a PC Card into a slot if there
is water or any other substance on the
card; you may permanently damage the
card, your notebook, or both.
