connector on the motherboard.
7.
After attaching the connector, the COM port setting might need to be configured by using the BIOS
setup utility. An example of how to configure the COM port is shown below.
1.12.6 Removal
To remove a PCI board, reverse the installation procedure.
Run SETUP and change boot order in Boot menu. Refer to Chapter 3 (2. System BIOS Setup) for how to
specify it.
If using the server while the board is removed, attach the blank cover that comes with the PCI slot.
a) Turn on the server. Press the F2 key while the POST screen is displayed to launch the
BIOS setup utility.
b) Select Advanced, and then Serial Port Configuration. Make sure that Serial Port B
is set to "Enabled". (If not, set it so.)
By setting Serial Port B to "Enabled", the Base I/O and Interrupt menus are
added. By default, Base I/O is set to "2F8h", and Interrupt is set to "IRQ 3".
Important
Pay attention in case that the Internal cables are hooked on a chassis when
you removed the PCI board. If the cables are hooked the PCI board may be
