8.9. HTTPS

The "HTTPS Setting" menu is shown on the Picture 8.9.
A HTTPS protocol allows transferring data being encrypted. The TCP-port 443 is used for the
HTTPS protocol.
Before using HTTPS connection you need to set parameters in the door station web-interface.
You can create a self-signed certificate or make a request for creating the certificate to the
Certification authority.
[Create Self-Signed Certificate]: click to create a self-signed certificate. Fill in the fields in the
pop-up window with necessary information and click [Submit]. The created certificate will be
displayed in the "Installed Certificate" field.
[Create Certificate Request]: click to make a request to the Certification authority. Fill in the
fields in the pop-up window with necessary information and click [Submit]. The created request will
be displayed in the "Created Request" field.
Created Request: the request to the Certification authority is displayed in this field.
[Properties]: click to look through information on the certificate request which needs to be
sent to the Certification authority.
[Remove]: click to remove the certificate request.
[Install Signed Certificate]: click to install the certificate received from the Certification
authority in response to the request you made earlier. This button only becomes available after
making the request. A web-page where you can upload a certificate file opens after clicking the
button. Choose the file with the ".pem" extension and click [Upload]. The certificate you install should
correspond with the request, because the data are compared during the certificate installation.
